Using the same game engine as the Doom games, Hexen was a highly touted pc first person action game which was ported to a number of different systems in the late nineties, the Nintendo 64 being one of them. The gameplay is fun enough and the player is allowed to choose from one of three heroes, each with unique abilities, but the framerate used for the Nintendo 64 version left a lot of players critiquing the graphics. There is a four player mult-player mode, which for the time was a rarity for a game of its kind. This game might be for you if you liked the Doom/Wolfenstein games, or even Turok or GoldenEye.
