On the surface, a game about going around taking pictures of animals doesn't sound very fun, even if those animals happen to be pokemon. But, Pokemon Snap! manages to be a first person picture taking game that is an absolute blast to play! With over 50 pokemon to photograph, the player goes through different themed levels, trying to best their score against previously taken pictures saved by Professor Oak. With unlockable tools, players can create better and better scenarios to take pictures of pokemon and unlock situations that feature rare breeds like Zapdos, Gyarados, and Dragonite! Unfortunately, the rom we have featured on this site is a bit flawed and kinda fizzles out after going through the first beach level, but we are in constant search for better roms.
Controls:
Control Stick - Steer Cart left and right
A Button - Accelerate
B Button - Brake, (Reverse if used in conjunction with control stick)
Z Button - Uses Item
Left C - Camera left Button
Right C - Changes Onscreen Display
Up C - Changes Camera Position
Down C - Uses Item
R Button - Jump (Drift if used in conjunction with control stick)
L Button - Adjusts Background Music Volume
START Button - Pause the game
