One of the first games released for the Nintendo 64, Wave Race 64 largely gets credit for bringing Nintendo into the 3D era with its fast-paced action and graphics that at the time were groundbreaking. Upon its release, critics gave it high praises, with some even calling it the greatest racing game ever made. It would just be a preview of what was to come from the Nintendo 64, as many more racing games would break the mold created by Wave Race, though few would match its crazy watery environments.
Controls:
Control Stick - Steer Cart left and right
A Button - Accelerate
B Button - Brake, (Reverse if used in conjunction with control stick)
Z Button - Uses Item
Left C - Camera left Button
Right C - Changes Onscreen Display
Up C - Changes Camera Position
Down C - Uses Item
R Button - Jump (Drift if used in conjunction with control stick)
L Button - Adjusts Background Music Volume
START Button - Pause the game
