Though it was released on Sony Playstation before the release of WCW/NwO Revenge, WCW Nitro was not ported to the Nintendo 64 until a few months after. The result was a slightly less known game, but similar in gameplay. The game initially has only 16 playable wrestlers, but that number can be expanded to 48 if the player goes through all the unlockable content. The main theme of this game is that the NwO has officially taken over the WCW, and the player can take the reigns as one of the members or as one of the few remaining resistant wrestlers to take back the WCW!
